guess this is a good place for directions.....
i would like to find tutorial on this "graphing"? for precise drawing? I've never used this technique but lots of admirable artists swear by it.
And speaking of directions, what's the speed limit here?
thanks. thorr

I keep running into the same problem when I draw: I have only roseart color pencils and basic computer paper. Although I would SO love to, I can't get any prismacolor pencils and blenders and all that.
Is there any way to salvage my art to make it look better?

I dont know how to blend with a tortillion. I'd like to see one demonstrating that.

PencilClubToo Featured By Owner Nov 13, 2005   Traditional Artist
To blend with a Tortillion is the same technique as to blend with swabs. In the beggining tortillions are a little harder but after a while it becomes softer. The same time it gives you more control over the blended part. When it gets too dirty you should sharper it again with a pencil sharpener. Anyway, they are perfect to use in small details like eyes and lips. ;)

If you have any question please feel free to ask. I will try to find a tutorial teaching tortillions to you. :D

As a beginer who cannot afford art classes, I cannot tell you how grateful I am for these excellent tutorials and for the time and patience of the artists who contributed them. I am disabled, and my activities are limited. This is providing a much needed diversion and a satisfying outlet. The artists featured on this site are wonderful , their talent admirable, and their sharing of their experience invaluable. Thanks to all...
